WORK EXPERIENCE
2025
Studio Assistant – David Smith, Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD. Raku firing workshop at Chapel District Elementary School. Assisted professor in raku firing pottery for 4th grade students. Helped measure out dry ingredients for glazes, clean and organize studio, construct a wood-fire kiln.
Ceramics Workshop – Private host, Salisbury, MD. Led a two-day ceramics workshop for kids ages 10-14. Created assignments, demonstrated art process, answered questions, provided assistance to students, safely transported pieces to studio for firing in electric kilns.

Work-study Ceramic Studio Assistant – Anne Arundel Community College, Arnold, MD. Maintained clean and welcoming studio environment, mixed clay and glazes, loaded and unloaded kilns, and organized ceramic pieces.

Ceramic Studio Assistant/Customer Representative - The Clay Bakers, Annapolis, MD. Explained pottery painting process to customers, cleaned and maintained studio, organized merchandise, handled transactions, hosted private events.
FREELANCE:
2025
Commission - Private Client, oil painting. “The Good Shepherd,” oil on canvas, 14 x 18 in. Worked with client to develop concept and sketches, and completed within agreed upon timeframe.
Independent business. Set up a booth to sell pottery. Conducted transactions, customer relations, safe transportation of goods.
Faculty Gift, Fulton School of Liberal Arts, Salisbury University. Designed ceramics dishes with Maryland’s state flower as a gift for Fulton Faculty. Threw 3 plates on pottery wheel, carved hand-drawn designs, and constructed plaster molds to reproduce the pieces. Professor David Smith reproduced 200 dishes using plaster molds.
Commission - Ceramic and Paper Journal, Private client. Created a custom hand-bound journal as a wedding gift. Covers made from ceramic, painted with an illustration of Frog and Toad. Worked with client to develop concept and variations. Maintained regular correspondence with client throughout production to ensure satisfactory result.

Commission - Private Client. Acrylic Painting, Portrait of Dog. Acrylic paint on 24 x 36 inch canvas. Painted a semi-realistic monochromatic portrait of client’s dog. Sketches approved by client.

Bible Study Leader, Cru, Salisbury University, Salisbury, MD. Planned and led a weekly women’s Bible study on campus.
Vacation Bible School helper, Providence Presbyterian Church, Salisbury, MD. Worked with other helpers to lead 3 groups of 15-20 children, ages 4-12, in arts and crafts projects.
