About Me

I am an artist based in Maryland, working primarily in ceramics and oil painting. My current work is rooted in my faith in Jesus Christ. Ceramic pieces and oil paintings are vessels for reflecting the inner workings of my mind and communicate meaning to viewers through color, form, and narrative subject matter. My aim is to express light, beauty, and hope through the mediums of clay and oil paint. This interdisciplinary approach allows me to explore concepts in various ways, developing a diverse body of work while increasing my skills.

Some of my art pieces are directly inspired by Biblical narratives, and others delve into my personal feelings and experiences through the lens of the Bible. Subject matter includes human figures, flowers, nature, and everyday objects. Additionally, themes of growth, perseverance, hope, and restoration span across my work.

Several of my paintings and ceramic pieces have been showcased in invitational and juried group exhibitions at Salisbury University and Anne Arundel Community College. I am pursuing a B.F.A. in ceramics at Salisbury University, which will conclude in spring 2026. My goal is to have an at-home ceramics studio, sell pottery in person and online, and exhibit my artwork at shows and galleries.
